It is official… We have sold our coffeehouse Ugly Mugs Coffee and Culture. After checking all of our options, we are so pleased to announce that the new owners will be Marcus and Debra Miller of Main Street Coffeehouse in Nappanee and Elkhart. They are the exact right people to take Ugly Mugs further than it has ever been.
The name will be changed to Main Street Coffeehouse (its cool that the location is located on Main street here in South Bend), and there are many other great additions that they plan to make.
We are so excited for our new building opportunities as a church and the transition of our coffeehouse. It is a great move forward for everyone.

I just wanted to let everyone know that on December 14th at 4:00 we will be having our official ribbon cutting with Mayor Steve Luecke! (We even get to use the big scissors) And that is not the only cool thing going on that Friday night. We are working on having concerts, special events and great deals on some great coffee.

There is a huge concert coming up on Thursday night at the Morris Civic. Newboys with opening band Kutless. (2 of my favs) Today we sent them over a sampler of our coffee and other drinks, and we later saw them walking around with our stuff. Anywho, just thought it was cool that 2 of my fav bands drank Ugly Mugs bevs today

Well, we had a pretty good first day. Especially since we really have not been able to advertise much. I am feeling a bit of relief mixed with a spirit of adventure. I can’t wait for our next step!
Here are some of yesterday’s highlights
- We had an estimated 80-100 people come in
- The Tribune did an article for their website on the vision and operation of Ugly Mugs. I’ll provide the link soon
- Our harvest party last night had approximately 65 parents and kids. Wow was that a blast! Everyone seemed to have a great time
